AXA adapts to post-Brexit health

AXA Global Healthcare is committed to further invest in a European office – based in Dublin and led by Gordon Delaney, Regional Manager Europe at AXA Global Healthcare – to support the smooth transition of European Economic Area (EEA) members to a new insurer, so members could continue to receive compliant healthcare support and coverage in a post-Brexit world.

Expansion throughout the European region

AXA Global Healthcare also welcomed Marc Posthuma, a new Business Development and Relationship Manager responsible for developing the portfolio in Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg. Posthuma’s role will see him working alongside intermediaries and direct companies to benefit sales across the Benelux region.

A new partnership with Irish insurer Vhi enables it to offer private health insurance plans to customers based in the Republic of Ireland. AXA is also expanding its network of medical providers across the continent through a partnership with assistance provider AP Companies. By expanding the AXA Select network by 900 additional suppliers, this partnership ensures that support is available to members across Europe.

Delaney, commented: “Having this in place in advance has allowed our members to worry less when uncertainty around healthcare access has increased due to the Covid-19 pandemic. .

“Whether our customers are looking for international health products in the UK, EEA or elsewhere, we can ensure consistency in plan design and in the service and medical assistance we offer.”

Meanwhile, AXA Global Healthcare is providing access to virtual psychological treatment to its members, wherever they are in the world.
