The Boris haters – the Brexit-despising Liberal elite failed in their quest to oust an elected Prime Minister in a landslide just three years ago
So the fightback began today – but it must get stronger and stronger.
The Boris-hating, Brexit-scorning Liberal elite have failed in their quest to oust a prime minister who was landslide elected just three years ago.
And now some of Boris Johnson’s allies have rightly started targeting media organizations in this country who have been very clearly on the side of the Labour/SNP/Lib Dem/Green coalition.
First, the Boris Bashing Corporation, otherwise known as the BBC.
Lee Anderson had none of that when their clearly biased presenter Geeta Guru-Murthy made a series of claims about Boris Johnson during this 10.07am livestream.
And he’s right.
The BBC – along with equally biased Sky News, ITV News and Channel 4 News – have spent seven months telling their millions of viewers that the most important story in the world is whether Boris Johnson received a birthday cake. anniversary in 2020.
But when Slippery Starmer – their beloved Labor leader – was caught breaking lockdown rules in a much more blatant way, they decided to ignore it.
Lee was not the only Tory MP to hit back.
Watch this delightful moment from the left-leaning BBC show Newsnight last night when Tory MP Adam Holloway confronted presenter Mark Urban about the live programme’s bias.
The humiliation of the left did not stop there.
Do you remember the outrage and mockery last night when Education Secretary Nadhim Zahawi said Volodimir Zelenskyy would ‘punch’ in the confidence vote for Boris Johnson.
Guido Fawkes’ website has rounded up the best, including…
Scottish editor of The Spectator Alex Massie who tweeted:
The Zelenskyy wants Boris to stay as peddled by Zahawi on Sky now is utterly despicable. Absolutely detestable.
Times columnist Harry Wallop tweeted:
“What do you think President Zelenskyy is doing tonight? He punches in the air because his great ally Boris Johnson has won. Desperate and desperate Nadhim Zahawi stuff.
The idea that Zelenskyy – on a day when the bombs started raining down on Kyiv again – gave Boris Johnson a moment to think about surviving a vote by a narrow margin is a fanciful thing.
Daily Mirror deputy political editor Ben Glaze sneered:
Yes, the president of a country literally waging an existential war against a nuclear-armed invader clings to the outcome of the Tory #NoConfidenceVote. Presumably, now that Boris is safe for the night, Zelenskyy will move on to Love Island.
Well, you got it all wrong actually. Zelenskyy was hitting the air and recognized it during his speech today.
Boris, meanwhile, tried to reset at the start of today’s Cabinet meeting.
But it’s going to take more than rhetoric to save this government now.
He needs to get back to basic Conservative policies, especially on taxation.
As Lord Frost said: “If the Prime Minister wants to save his post as Prime Minister and his government, he should now follow a different path – immediately lower taxes to tackle the cost of living crisis, undertake public service reform and establish a policy affordable and reliable long-term energy. term.”
I’m well aware that Boris has been far from perfect, but he didn’t really have much hope of success with the BBC and most other mainstream media campaigning to get him out, did he not ?
